| For this set I used vintage opalescent beads that I believe are moonstone, and rose pink glass tube beads. Together the colors are just beautiful, and the iridescence of the white beads really pop out at you! All of these beads came from vintage costume necklaces. The white beads were from one necklace, so they match in color perfectly. The moonstone clasp is from the same necklace. The necklace measures 19 1/2 inches long. It is finished with two sterling silver daisy spacers on each end. The largest bead is approximately 18 mm, and the smallest white bead is 9 mm. I loved how these beads complimented each other, so I just had to make a matching pair of earrings! I strung one of the opalescent beads and one pink bead on a sterling head pin, and attached them to a length of sterling silver chain. The earwires are also sterling silver. These are long earrings with the dangle measuring 2 1/2 inches long. |
