| The colors in this necklace are just beautiful! I designed this piece using 12mm (approximately 7/16") round quartz beads, pink glass tube beads and vintage gold tone balls. I am not certain if these quartz beads are actually considered Aventurine, Chalcedony or Quartz, as I have not yet perfected my knowledge of the Quartz family of gemstones. They are a light, minty green color with darker green spots. The pink beads are a soft pink glass or possibly gemstone beads. These beads all came from vintage jewelry, as did the gold tone balls and 14K gold or gold filled filigree clasp. The clasp is marked 14KG, I think (I cannot quite make out the last letter). This piece measures 24 inches long. I used a strong, durable multi strand nylon coated steel for stringing. Perfect for Spring or any season, you will not be disappointed with this necklace! |
