| These hand blown glass beads in clear, aqua and black/brown swirls are just beautiful! I wanted to make something special with these beads, and I found the PERFECT compliment to them in the vintage art glass beads that I used. The beauty of this piece is that it can be worn several different ways. You can wear the toggle in the back, in the front, or on either side. Adjust it around your neck to show off your favorite part of the necklace! This piece is approximately 21 1/2 inches long. I have coordinating earrings for this necklace if you are interested, and I am planning on working on a coordinating bracelet as well! This piece is a one of a kind - it will not be duplicated. Inspiration / Story behind this Product: My inspiration for this asymmetrical necklace were the gorgeous focal beads. These hand blown glass beads in clear, aqua and black/brown swirls are just beautiful! I wanted to make something special with these beads, and I found the PERFECT compliment to them in the vintage art glass beads that I used. I had a strand of these art glass beads in graduated sizes, and I couldn't decide what to do with them. They are almost an exact match to the hand blown glass beads, and a design idea began... I was actually surprised by the final design that this piece took on as I was working on it! (I love it when even I'm surprised at how something turns out!). I had an entirely different design in mind when I started this piece, but as I worked, I came up with this one instead, by adding some sterling silver chain that I placed in between hand wired bead units. I used a large sterling silver swirl design toggle clasp that is decorative enough to be a focal piece on the necklace. |
